Terms of use

Last updated: this is a placeholder draft. Review before launch.

By using Zikr you agree to these terms. They're short. We've tried to keep them plain.

What Zikr is

Zikr is a curated player for publicly-available Islamic audio — Quran recitation, lectures, khutbahs, nasheeds, and remembrance. Stations are programmed by Zikr admins. Users do not upload content.

Content + copyright

Each track is identified by its original source URL. Reciters, lecturers, and original publishers retain all rights to their work. Zikr does not host MP3 files for most tracks — they stream directly from the original host. If you believe a station carries content that infringes your rights, see DMCA.

User content

Comments and other text you post are visible to other listeners. By posting, you grant Zikr a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the platform. You retain ownership of what you write.

Don't post: harassment, spam, malware, adult content, doxxing, or content that's illegal where Zikr operates. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate this without notice.

Accounts

You're responsible for your account credentials. Tell us if you suspect unauthorized access. We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

No warranty

Zikr is provided "as is". We try hard to keep the service running, but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy of metadata, or continued availability of any particular station or track (third-party sources can go away).

Changes

If we change these terms materially, signed-in users will see a notice on next sign-in.
